Character Name: Ichirin Kumoi & Unzan

Personality:
Ichirin was originally a human Buddhist monk, before she met Unzan. Their first meeting was a hostile one, but she managed to defeat the cloud spirit using courage and cleverness, so impressing him that he swore to protect her. Now protected by Unzan, she no longer had to fear youkai, but grew to be feared and hated by humans, and in the end, she became a youkai herself. Her last years as a human left Ichirin with a fair amount of a grudge against humanity - she was a wild and dangerous youkai until she encountered Byakuren, who led her back onto the path of buddhism.
On that last note, there are some problems that Ichirin tends to have with the teachings of her new religion. First and foremost is the whole pacifism aspect. Ichirin is pretty good at fighting - since she became a youkai, she sort of sees it as the obvious solution to most problems. She's academically aware that this way of thinking runs pretty contrary to buddhist philosophy, which is the main reason she doesn't always just go around punching the shit out of everything. Still, she's only human (not really, but you know what I mean), and sometimes just gets fed up with a situation against her better judgment and resorts to good old-fashioned violence. Habits and grudges both die hard.
Ichirin, as can be surmised from the above, has a very straigihtofrward personality. She isn't stupid, but her mind always draws the shortest line between Problem and Solution when possible, and overly complex situations just tend to frustrate her. While she isn't good at dealing with situations that require weighing in multiple viewpoints and values, she is quick-thinking and pretty good at cutting through bullshit to get to the heart of the matter.
She's also friends with a giant cloud monster named Unzan.
Most people's first experience with Unzan is that of an enormous cloudman staring down at them with great intensity. Accordingly, combined with his combat prowess, he comes off as being ruthless and dangerous, even evil. However, this is largely a side effect of the fact that he never talks to anyone but Ichirin. In reality, he's reserved and duty-bound, but not good at talking to other people. He's very stubborn, and, like his master, he likes straightforward things and people who are on the up-and-up. He is also very dedicated to Ichirin, and will protect her from threats even without orders.

Abilities/Powers:
Ichirin can fly, and use basic Pew Pew offensive magic of fairly low power and complexity. Her real strength comes in her ability to use Unzan as her familiar.
Unzan, being a Nyuudou, can change his size and shape at will. His usual form is fairly small, a pink cloud floating around Ichirin, but he can grow to be many times the size of a human. His more extreme abilities include such acts as splitting himself into two forms. However, being made of clouds, he's not particularly substantial - his fists pack a lot of punch, but if you can out-power them, they'll just break apart into clouds.
Spell Cards Ichirin will have in the game:
Divine Fist "Hell Thrust from Above the Clouds" - Unzan grows huge and punches downwards from above.
Barrage "Cloud World Kraken Strike" - Unzan delivers a series of rapid-fire enormous punches to a single point.
Annihilation "Consecutive Hooks throughout Heaven and Earth" - Same as the last two, but with alternating left and right hooks filling the air.
Rage "Calamity Scolding Scorch" - Unzan fires large fans of lasers from his eyes.
Fist "Falling Sky Hammer" - Unzan pounds the ground, sending an intense shockwave radiating outwards.
Lightning "Electrified Nyuudou" - Unzan fills her cloud body with electricity, raining down thunder and lightning on the enemy.
Intended Guild: The Hounds, because it's full of the kind of people who will make Ichirin's life difficult. ICly, she picked more or less at random.
